Web Classic: Nonags.com is a huge collection of useful freeware

Nonags is a very, very old website, but it's still going strong. It is one of the most useful resources on the Web for real freeware. The utilities do what they're supposed to do, and they don't nag you to upgrade or spy on you.
Nonags has a classic "directory" structure. It's divided into categories such as Audio and Video, Essentials, Internet, Office, etc. The site looks very no-frills and old school; the text is tiny, and there's no AJAX in sight. I don't think much has changed in the layout since I started using it a few years ago.
The site uses a clear rating system; each utility can earn up to six "duckies." (What's the significance of the ducks? I have no idea.) Personally, I never bother with anything that got less than six duckies.
Another nice feature is the Editors Choice Awards, which is a list of some very nice utilities. It includes obvious choices, such as VLC, CCleaner, and Filezilla, but it also lists some utilities that I've never tried, like MusicBee.
All in all, this is a fantastic place to find that free utility that you need right this minute.
